South Carolina’s Employment Situation July-September 2011

This section provides comparison data year over year for employees in selected industry sectors.  Sectors included are as follows:   natural resources & mining, construction, manufacturing, trade, transportation & utilities, information, financial activities, professional & business services, education & health services, leisure & hospitality, and government.  With regards to leisure and hospitality, there were 212,800 employed in the industry in September 2011 as compared to 211,200 in September 2010.
